Cultivation of Exotic Vegetables

A huge group of assorted vegetables grown under the guidance of Dr, Bhore. The Iceberg, Lettuce, Leeks, Bok choy, Cherry Tomatoes, Fennel, Broccoli, Jalapeños, Parsley, Spring Onions.







The success story of commercial cultivations to achieve quality and productivity is just because of the efforts and knowledge put on the field on full time basis after completing the doctorate degree in the field of agriculture in a true sense, otherwise it is very difficult to understand the effects of macro and micro elements on the crops .

Executed – 30 projects for cultivation of Indian vegetables and 9 projects for Exotic cultivation Under the concept of one stop solution and a shop [market place], 24 Exotic vegetables, 8 herbs and 30 Indian vegetables are cultivated together predicting the market demands and are made available to different clients Productions are designed as accordingly.

Vegetables are grown in the Open field, Under shade net and in Poly house as per the location, crop and to tackle the drastic behavior of the climatic and atmospheric effects on crop production and quality. Healthy seedling, the right variety as per the season and market is the single important element for the successful vegetable production. Hence efforts are taken to have a seedling nursery at the farm itself under protected conditions.

Providing technical expertise since 1987 in commercial production of Indian and Exotic vegetables.

To provide extension services, training and demonstration which is put collectively in 10 different states of country. The initial focus is on training the trainers from different locations and provides them the proven technological inputs and know – how on performing the advance cultivation crop production.

Vegetables are important food for health and prevention of disease because they are valued for their high contents of carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and fiber content. The change in life styles and food habits play a vital role for the farmers to produce food consisting good nutritional values, shelf life, color and flavor Most vegetable crops in India are seasonal and have short life span. “Increasing the life span will boost output and earnings to farmers, hence the technical advice provided on regular basis helps them develop confidence in cultivation of crops achieve quality and productivity. There is a substantial scope for value addition in vegetables; indigenous vegetables are cultivated in different agro – ecological zones of the country.


Initially, soil and water analysis is carried out, deficiencies are recorded and fertilizer and micro-nutrients are recommended as per the crop to be cultivated to improve production.
Vegetables are grown on raise beds, under drip irrigation system; mulching paper or paddy straw is laid out on the raise bed, help conserve soil moisture, modify soil temperature, improves soil properties, reduces weed growth and enhances crop yield Green manure crop, crop rotation, residue in corporation, organic manures, barrier crop, integrated pest management [marigold], use of bio-fertilizers, bio pesticides, botanicals, bio agents are the primary focus considered on crop management that help promote the ecological harmony improving quality and productivity of crop.

Techniques are taught to maintain schedules of practices on most of the applications, harvesting at right maturity, handling of the harvest, approach to avoid moisture losses, minimizing insect infestation, reducing fungi inoculations at the field level. All the above activities are managed professionally, support is provided in the entire value chain. Selection of the best variety, help in branding and in promotion.

Vision to increase the production, productivity and utilization of vegetables for economic livelihood and nutritional security. Crop-wise catalogue, secondary micro nutrient imbalance is not only decreasing the vegetable yield but also affecting the quality of produce, Target should be to bring maximum vegetable area under this improved method of irrigation along with fertigation technology.
